About Us
Learn who we are and how we give children with cancer a CHANCE
About CHANCE
CHANCE became an officially registered charity in Lebanon in 2005. Our mission has always been to give children with cancer and blood disorders a chance to fight their disease. We are here to assist those children by providing them with access to the vital care, medication, treatments, and support systems that they desperately need.
Young children have a very high cure rate from cancer. It’s with this knowledge that we feel we must give every child with cancer access to the treatment they need to fight it. We work with nine hospitals throughout Lebanon: LAU Medical Center, St. Georges Hospital, Hotel Dieu de France, Abou Jaoude Hospital, Mount Lebanon Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Clemenceau Hospital, St. Therese Hospital, and the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
We provide assistance to children with cancer and blood disorders from birth to the age of 18 years. Since 2005, CHANCE has provided support to over 800 children and with your support, we can help much more.
We were the first Lebanese organization to be a member of CCI, Childhood Cancer International, a global, parent-driven non-profit representing 171 parent organizations, childhood cancer survivor associations, childhood cancer support groups, and cancer societies in 88 countries, across 5 continents.
We are also non-denominational, apolitical, and non-religious. Our only commitment is to help children and their families with their fight against cancer. We believe anyone diagnosed with cancer has a right to treatment regardless of their faith or political ideology.

Who We Are
We are a team of compassionate medical professionals with expertise in pediatrics, oncology, pathology, ENT, infectious diseases, hematology, and child psychology. We are a passionate and determined team that seeks to support children in Lebanon diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder.
Our organization consists of three committees, the Executive Committee, Medical Committee, and Para-Medical Committee. Between us, we have hundreds of years of medical expertise and experience helping people fight against cancer.
Our team has been carefully selected to help us provide the best solutions possible for children diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders. We believe that financial difficulties should never be an obstacle for a child to receive the best possible care and treatment. In Lebanon, this is an all too familiar problem which we aim to end for any child diagnosed with cancer. We are here to give children in Lebanon a CHANCE.
