At CHANCE Association, we help children with cancer and blood disorders in Lebanon, supporting children of all ages up to 18 years. One of the biggest challenges faced by these children is the lack of access to proper medical care and treatment due to financial constraints and the scarcity of medications. We make sure children have access to the best medical care and offer psychosocial support for both children and their families.
How do we do this? We have close partnerships with nine hospitals across Lebanon. We have an extremely talented network of doctors and medical professionals that together can provide children with everything they need to fight-the-fight and beat cancer.
Since 2005, CHANCE has provided support to 800 children and we are actively supporting more than 120 children diagnosed with cancer. Many of these young children come from families with limited financial resources, and we have been able to remove the financial barriers standing between them and the support they need.
We are incredibly proud to help these young people and take them under our wing of care. CHANCE always makes sure children have access to the best care, and we adhere to the 15 standards of psychosocial care for children with cancer and their families set out by Childhood Cancer International (CCI).
