Children with cancer have a 85% cure rate, but in Lebanon, children face unique challenges that prevent them from accessing the care and support they need to reach recovery.
Since 2018, Lebanon has been going through a deep economic crisis that has only gotten worse over the last year, with the COVID-19 pandemic intensifying the economic fallout.

With spending power significantly reduced and high levels of unemployment, many families across the country are unable to access treatment for their children or pay for vital medications.
That’s where your donations come in. Every donation you make helps children with cancer in Lebanon move one step closer to recovery. Your donation helps children access the treatment, therapy, and medications they need to fight their disease.
CHANCE is wholly dependent on the child cancer donations we receive. Without your help, we can’t provide the support these children and their families so desperately need. How Your Money Helps Children With Cancer
CHANCE Association will use your donation to support children in Lebanon diagnosed with cancer and their families. We work closely with Lebanese hospitals, medical professionals, researchers, and doctors. Your money will contribute to the support, treatment, and aftercare of children with cancer.
More specifically, your donation will help us cover vital cancer care and treatment, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, medications, imaging, lab work, and other therapy-related care. Often, when a child in Lebanon is diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder, there is a gap between what their medical insurance will cover and social security. This is where CHANCE steps in. We help fill that gap and give children the financial support they need.
CHANCE also offers a support network for parents of children with cancer. We provide both emotional and financial support to make this difficult time that little bit easier. We are the first Lebanese organization to be a certified member of the CCI, Childhood Cancer International, a worldwide network of organizations that support parents of children with cancer.

Your donation is used for patient treatment and therapy-related expenses, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, medications, and imaging.
95% of your donation is used for the treatment of children with cancer or blood disorders under our care. 5% of your donation is used to cover the overhead expenses at CHANCE Association.
Every case is carefully reviewed by the CHANCE Association medical committee and social services team to determine if and how assistance should be provided. This review includes a review of the medical records along with the family’s personal situation and ability to pay for treatment.
We do not give cash directly to the children’s families. All money goes directly to the hospitals chosen to treat the child.
