Chady
Meet Chady Ghabash, a 20-year cancer survivor. When Chady was just 6 years old, he was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma. He underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy during 6 months, and thankfully has been in remission since then.
Burkitts lymphoma is a type of blood cancer, considered rare and particularly aggressive. Lymphomas are developed due to an abnormal reproduction and enlargement of the white blood cells.
Chady shares:
“I remember the treatment was so painful and hard, but Dr Roula and my parents helped me get through this situation. My experience was a lesson for me to never lose hope because miracles can happen in every single second. I learned to always follow your dreams because it can help you to move to a second step in your life.
Dr. Roula was like the eraser, erasing all the pain from us and drawing the smile with her gifts and surprises.”
Chady also remembers how his parents helped me with every possible resource they had. He calls them his “hidden soldiers” and credits them with raising him to be the successful person he is today.
Chady lives in Saudi Arabia and is happy pursuing his dream. He is the youngest person to be a sous executive chef at a Mariott hotel.
He met his girlfriend, Carine, 7 months ago, whom he says is so supportive, “Carine gives me daily support. She shares with me her energy and positive vibes to live the best future together.”
Chady, thank you for sharing your beautiful story. You are 20 years cancer free! 🎉🙌That’s the wish for all our community of cancer patients.
