During the cold months of January and February, CHANCE Association led by Dr. Roula Farah and pediatric nurses at LAUMC-RH, visited the children with cancer and their families on the pediatric floor and distributed child-sized hats, mittens, socks, blankets. Not only are the garments colorful and fun, but they also serve a functional purpose. As a result of radiation and chemotherapy, children with cancer often feel “cold” during and for a long while after receiving treatment. For this reason, it is important to keep little hands, feet, and heads warm.
